WOMEN AS CHANGEMAKERS
THRESH SALON ART SALE
Mercedes Nugent-Head

About the Artist
Mercedes Nugent-Head is a French-Caribbean artist born on the island of Guadeloupe. Her artistic journey reflects both a deep academic foundation and a profound engagement with her cultural heritage.
After five years working in fundraising for museums and theaters, she joined the Art Students League of New York in 2000, where she spent a decade immersed in drawing, painting, color theory, and composition. Her studies were further enriched by seminars at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, grounding her practice in both European traditions and a transatlantic perspective.
Each of these works will be showcased live at the Thresh Salon on December 10th 2025, where art, performance, and conversation come together in one evening.
By attending, you’ll have the opportunity to view the pieces in person and participate directly in our Silent Auction — supporting Thresh’s mission to empower women as changemakers and expand our cross-cultural programming.
Your ticket purchase fuels our year-end fundraiser and helps us meet our goal.
Join us at the Salon and experience these artworks in their full impact.
