Born in 1970 in Switzerland she spent five years in Japan studying with the Tokyo based Butoh Company Tomoe Shizune & Hakutobo as a dancer and scenographer. She appeared as a dancer in Tomoe Shizune & Hakutobo’s work « Renyo » at the Adelaide Festival and the Indonesian Dance Festival in 1994.
In 2002 she received a Master of Arts in Scenography from the Laban Center London. In 2003 she choreographed, danced and designed « A Bird’s Tale » which was shown at the Scenography Quadrennial in Prague. The theme of the bird was further explored in a dance film “the snow grouse”, filmed and danced in the Himalayas at an altitude of over 4000m. The film was shown in many festivals (e.g. Friktioner Performance Festival 2006, Uppsala, Sweden; International Mountain film festival Autrans, Internationales Bergfilmfestival Tegernsee 2006, Gertmany).
She lives on a small mountain farm in the Swiss Alps breeding and training yaks, besides continuing to work as an independent artist.
