From the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the New Jersey Symphony and the Star Wars Orchestra to collaborations with Jay-Z, Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre, Suzanne Vega, Phill Niblock, Andrea Bocelli, Ryuchi Sakamoto, Elliott Sharp, Breaking Benjamin, Merce Cunningham, Attack Theatre, Rebecca Stenn Company, Thresh, Modern English and many others, Rachel is a violinist, vocalist, string arranger and session artist of many colors and sounds.

Rachel can be heard on EMI and Chesky Records, and in Universal and Warner Bros. pictures. In addition to her playing on the album, she is Executive Producer of the forthcoming Dave Eggar Quartet: The Yoga Sessions: Mozart.

After receiving her BA from Yale, she spent several years steeped in Indian music as a denizen of Chennai, a guest of Rajasthani folk musicians and a satellite of maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez.  Her love of distance swimming inspired her to create the Liminophone with Nick Didkovsky, an electronic instrument that plays the Harbor in real-time.

Rachel emerged in 2009 as her alter-ego Go-Ray:  on vocals, sitar, and lush, filmi-style strings, she will release her first record with her band go-ray & duke in 2010 on Yoga Organix.
